A few years ago, an elderly woman who retired in Toronto went to the United States to live with her daughter, so she told the pension agency he was leaving and his salary was naturally cut. After a few years when her daughter's condition worsened, they returned to Canada just before the corona outbreak to seek treatment for their daughter here. They rented an apartment in Toronto because of its proximity to the hospital. After a while, due to the high cost of their daughter's medicine, their savings were almost exhausted and they were introduced to us by a dear friend in our city.

Lily Pourzand, my dear friend, is Community Programs Manager at Sandgate Women's Shelter. She had told us about a young girl who was living in the shelter and that she wished to have a Rollerblade for her birthday. She also needed a few books to learn French at the shelter.

Lily accepted to receive all donations and buy the gifts and books.

She sent us today all the photos and receipts.

The amount raised was $810, of which $281.85 was used to buy books, shoes and a helmet. The rest, $530, will be added to the “Aiding people safe box”..

Kamran, along with his wife and six-year old son, are among those who arrived in Canada shortly before Covid-19. The Immigration Office was closed just as they entered into immigration process for getting asylum status. They could only go on a few weeks with what they had until were finally introduced to us by Ms. Niaz Salimi. What they needed immediately was food. In this campaign, a large number of our compatriots immediately provided wide range of Food, PPE and Toys, along with several grocery gift cards (such as Walmart, etc.) and some money.

This campaign was set up to assist a family who lost their child.
Delaram was a 13-year-old girl who died of cancer two days after arriving in Canada.
Today, the campaign is set-up for aiding his family which is provided by the assistance of 40 donors. Although money may not help their mental state, we wish for them to heal over time and the funds was collected for them to start their lives from scratch as newcomers and one day, determine their own future according to their own wishes.

Taymaz is currently cancer-controlled with bone marrow transplant.
About 11 years ago, when Taymaz was a young boy, he began a difficult phase of life with cancer.
Taymas's mother is a very special woman, and as I talk to her, I kept thinking about what this mother has done. You might not even be able to hear or read a single sample.

Ronia is a 4 year old little girl from the City of Toronto, who is suffering from brain cancer.
The fundraising campaign for Ronia ended with the help of 61 Iranians in Toronto as well as dozens of guests of the Shiraz restaurant.
The amount collected for Ronia has been $8,150.00.
