Mahsa is a 24-year-old woman battling cancer. Due to her young age, she had never undergone a mammogram, and tragically, the cancer had already spread to surrounding tissues by the time it was discovered. She lost her job as a shop assistant four months ago and has been unable to work since. Mahsa’s story is marked by deep loss—she also lost her father in the Kermanshah earthquake.
Our second patient is Sarina, an 11-year-old girl diagnosed with brain cancer. She lives with her father, a laborer whose modest income wouldn't be enough to cover Sarina’s medical expenses even under normal circumstances. Now, as the sole caregiver, he is unable to work and is facing unimaginable hardship.
We couldn't afford to wait two or three more months to launch a new campaign. The urgency of their situations led us to combine both causes into one unified effort.
This campaign was uplifted by the generosity of several incredible individuals:
Sholeh Dolatabadi donated a beautiful, handwoven, and brand-new carpet, which was raffled among donors.
Golare Yazdani contributed two exquisite carpets, which she auctioned off in support of Mahsa and Sarina.
Mojdeh Pourzad donated two valuable handcrafted items made by her mother in Kerman, which were sold to benefit the campaign.
Thanks to these generous contributions and the kindness of our extended community, we were able to raise a total of $10,422 USD + 15 million toomans in local currency—an incredible show of solidarity and compassion.
