Mehregan Festival

"Aiding People" was established in 2012 with the mission of creating a direct support network, enabling individuals to assist patients in need without intermediaries. Our group has grown to over 350 members and has delivered more than 100 aid packages, primarily to cancer patients in Canada and Iran.

Aiding People in Canada

In Canada, we have provided essential household items, from clothing to stationery to children in shelters. We have conducted over seven campaigns for refugees, donated a truck full of supplies to Syrian refugees, and supported eight patients in overcoming significant challenges. Additionally, we hosted a free seminar featuring seven world-class specialists at the Aga Khan Museum, where they offered free consultations to 42 cancer patients.

Aiding People in Iran

In Iran, we have been highly active, especially during major crises. We also do help cancerous people directly. For a list of what we usually do please visit our Project Page.

• Earthquake and crises: Following the Kermanshah and Khoy earthquakes, in an outstanding aid, we quickly provided 30 permanent housing units to those who lost their homes, even before government aid arrived. We also laid 18 kilometers of pipes to supply drinking water to a village affected by the earthquake. After the Shiraz flood, we delivered 200 food packages to 50 families within five days after the disaster. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we supplied food and medicine to hundreds of patients and provided 25 large oxygen cylinders to clinics.  We also facilitated a bone marrow donation from a German donor to an Iranian child, who is now living a healthy and happy life. 
• Mahsa Amini's movement: We have also supported 190 families affected by the Mahsa Amini Revolution in Iran who were either killed or injured, providing food and financial assistance through 14 campaigns over five months.
• Schools, students and childern:
  
  • On top of these initiatives, we have built five schools in remote areas of the Sistan and Balouchestan province in Iran over the past five years, year after year. We also constructed a large dormitory for girls traveling from their villages to the town of Saravan to pursue their education safely.
  • Also Thousands of students in Kurdestan and Balochestan have received the necessary school supplies before the start of the school year.
  • Every year, just before Nowruz, we provide food and stationery to over 2,000 working children and their families.
  • We are currently completing our sixth school, named "Avand." The majority of the funding comes from our generous members, with the remainder raised through a festival featuring sponsorships and community engagement.
